A communication was sent to all parents with the dates for the celebration of First Holy Communion & Confirmation for candidates who prepared with us during 2019/2020.
If you have any questions, please contact Gabriella at email@example.com.
Given the current pandemic situation, we have scheduled the First Communion & Confirmation Masses considering all necessary measures to keep everyone in our parish community safe. The number of families scheduled at each Mass is determined by the maximum allowed number of people the church can accommodate keeping every family seated a safe physical distance of 6 feet apart.
Parents must teach their child the procedure to safely receive Holy Communion during the time of pandemic. First Communicants should rehearse at home with their parents until they feel confident with the procedure.
Procedure for receiving Holy Communion during the Pandemic
*the communion procession will begin at the back of the church.
*Follow the direction of our usher and maintain a safe physical distance.
*Remove any gloves you may be wearing.
*When you arrive at the spot at the front of the church where the blue tape ends:
-Stay at that spot, 6 feet away from the Minister of Communion.
-The Minister will say "The Body of Christ" and you will reply "Amen" from that spot with your mask still on.
-approach the Minister to receive the host with your mask still on and with a flat hand to avoid contact with the Minister of Communion.
-walk 6 feet away, remove your mask and consume the host
-return to your pew by the side aisle.
Please carefully study the reopening video and rehearse with your child how to safely receive Holy Communion.
