Sacramental Preparation & Religious Education Update 

Parents and guardians, please note the following important changes: 

• First Reconciliation & First Communion 
  All children—whether or not they attend Catholic school—must register for the parish’s sacramental preparation program. Attendance in Religious Education (RE) is not required. Regular Sunday Mass participation is strongly encouraged. Info & registration: bit.ly/3JPAehx 

• Confirmation 
  Children not enrolled in Catholic school are not required to attend RE in addition to the Confirmation program. Sunday Mass attendance remains strongly encouraged. Info & registration: bit.ly/483tSoN

• Religious Education Program Discontinued 
  We extend heartfelt thanks to all who have volunteered over the years. Children are now invited to attend Sunday Mass with their families and join the Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) at the 9:30 am and 12:30 pm Masses. 
  Students in Grades 3–6 who do not attend Catholic school are encouraged to join the 9:30 am Mass with CLOW and stay afterward for continued formation alongside peers preparing for Sacraments or reception into the Church. 

Why These Changes? 
• To align with archdiocesan and neighbouring parish practices 
• To emphasize family participation in Sunday Mass 
• To empower parents as primary faith educators
